Wedding Wednesday: BOOZE Calculator

Yes, I will be serving booze (and beer and wine) at my wedding.

Yes, I drink; Socially.

I don't even think I have any friends and family who don't drink. Especially at special events.

I was surfing random wedding blogs and I came across this lovely gal Ashley of Eleven Twenty Five Eleven .

She posted a couple event Booze Calculator sites on this post.

There is this Alcohol Calculator

You can only select 100, 200 or 300. Nothing in between. However, you can change the number of beer, alcohol, and wine drinkers. You can also change the size of the drinks as well as the cost of a case of beer, a bottle of booze, or a bottle of wine. (really though... I don't know how many of my guests are beer, wine or booze drinkers. I would literally have to go down the guest list and make an educated guess)

Pros: Gives you an estimated cost
Cons: Doesn't break it down much further
Then there is the REAL SIMPLE Booze calculator (okay, it's really called Wedding Wine and Liquor Calculator)

I like this one because it gives you a break down of the whole shabang... except for an estimated cost.

Pros: Breakdown of detailed booze
Cons: No estimated cost

So I think I'll just make some more educated guesses while following the results guidelines from these two sites.

Does anyone have anymore good BOOZE calculators you would recommend?
Or have any advice for how you calculated BOOZE, wine and beer for your wedding or event?

Please let a sista know... pwetty pwease.

Wow... a local Craft Market near me!

I came across this blog this morning as I was rummaging through black Friday deals...

Turns out there's a cool local Craft Market near me. I'm not an Inland Empire girl but we are close neighbors.

Well I am super excited and I hope that I can make it out there next Sunday. We shall see.

If you are a Southern California person, you should definitely check it out!

Thankful I Am

I have so much to be thankful for this year. God has blessed me immensely and in so many ways.

Without it, I don't know what I would do. The amount of love my Fiance has shown me in the 5 years of being together is enormous. He is my rock, my sky, my world.

The classic, I'm thankful for my Family speel. Well... I am. No matter where they are or what they're doing, my Family is always there for me and I am thankful for that. I'm not just talking immediate family either... Carlos's Family has been amazing to me and is also always there for me when I need them. I can always count on both my family's for anything.

This has been the ultimate year of friends. Slowly but surely friendships have evolved and friendships rekindled. I am so thankful to have some amazing female friends in my life. I hope and pray that these friendships will keep going for a long time. I appreciate all of them more than I can say. They each hold a special and unique place in my heart.

Creativity found me when I needed it. I had put it in the back of my head for a long time and I'm so glad it found me again. It has made me feel free and it has made me feel so good about my myself

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Little Facts (Tres)

Spanglish is awesome. The end.

Jussst Kidding

Here are some little facts to learn about me today. This is numero tres.

Aminals Animals: I LOVE doggies. I haven't had my own dog since high school. His name was Blackie and he was the coolest dog on the block! Everyone knew him! We had him for about 8 years and he had to be put down because of a tumor in his throat. I still choke up whenever I think of him. I haven't had a connection with another dog since Blackie. One day... yup! I also like giraffes. I've had a little crush on them ever since we fed the giraffes at the San Diego wild animal park.

Fitness: I don't work out very much... lets face it... I don't work-out at all anymore. I do however, need to start. I stink at running. I can't believe I used to work out 5 days a week. I don't know how I did it... but I wish I remembered how I did. Any tips? I have a wedding 11 months away... I could use all the help I can get.

Sports: I don't like sports television. If I'm going to watch a sport, I'd rather it be in person. It's so much more fun that way! I have played are Water Polo and Swam Competitively. Though water polo was fun and challenging, swimming was my passion. I miss it very often. My favorite events were 50 yard freestyle sprint and the 100 yard backstroke.

Happy Wednesday Everbody!

Frustration Nation

Maybe I'm just hormonal and emotional right now but damn... I feel like I'm about to lose it sometimes!

I know that there are people out there who are dealing with worse problems... like suffering from diseases or doing their best to survive on nothing. But sometimes... I just want to scream!!! or cry... as I have been today. (yes, its a woman thing)

I feel selfish getting all worked up about issues such as my Fiance’s car breaking down twice in one month. Having to put out time and money we can’t spare. I'm trying to stay positive and calm and collected but it's just frustrating and it has slowly been eating away at me.

There is one other major thing on my mind about someone dear to me so maybe everything else is just adding to my frustration.

Does anyone have any good quotes for moments like this?

So what do you think?

Here are some of the other awesome creations! They all were great in their own little way.

Little Facts... very pinteresting

Little Facts about me... episode 2

Hair: I'm not very good at doing my hair. For my straight hair I know the basic blow-out but I don't know how to teach myself new styles or try different techniques. I prefer having short hair for the sheer convenience less time styling. For my naturally curly hair... I've been styling it for years and I'm pretty sure I have mastered it. I don't even know how to french braid... I would give anything to learn how to do that little side-part french braid. I will learn...someday.

Nails: I don't get my nails done on a regular basis. I probably get a professional mani-pedi done twice a year. I don't think that anyone should spend money to get bi-weekly mani-pedi's. I think its so frivolous. Call me frugal! I hardly take the time to polish my nails myself though. I'm so lazy and I hate sitting there waiting for my nails to dry. Well whenever I do decide to paint my nails I'll try some fancy styles like these.

Make-up: I'm a self taught make-up wearer. Not extremely good at it but I have all sorts of make-up. Most of which I don't use very often. I stick to the basics on a daily basis. I would love to master something like this.

Thanks for getting to know me a little better
